Kokiy paris

French of Senegalese origin, Rokiya Daffé is passionate about fashion since childhood. In 2009, she created a collection of clothes with Afropean inspirations: a mixture of debogolan, bazin, wax, taffeta, organza and even leather to make creations in her image.

Today, she creates Kokiy Paris, a brand of leather goods and accessories that combines African chic and French elegance while supporting local know-how.

For her first collection «Africaine à Paris», she chose the manjak woven loincloth with diamond shapes available in different colors.

The brand &

African chic and French elegance

Kokiy Paris was born out of a desire to promote Afropean culture in France where the leather goods market is still only slightly tinged with this inspiration.

The representation of this diversity shows an Africa full of remarkable materials and technicalities, rich traditional crafts and exceptional local creators.

Kokiy Paris highlights the ancestral mastery of African artisans and in particular the loom that tends to disappear and make you discover a culture, an African know-how still little known through quality products that embody cultural diversity.

AFRICAN IN PARIS

For the production of its products, Kokiy Paris is committed to selecting the best materials to produce high-quality creations:

Kokiy Paris bags are made from French leather from one of the main famous tanneries in the South of France.

The jewellery is carefully selected from a Parisian specialist who supplies the major brands, and the loincloth directly made on a loom in Senegal is made by a renowned Senegalese house that has notably made loincloths for personalities such as Nelson Mandela

The ambition of Kokiy Paris lies in the valorization of this ancestral fabric, heritage of the African continent, which accompanies the stages of life such as births, marriages and baptisms.
